Yak Sights A good photographer and photographee, the Yakman has some sights in store for you.

Image Most of the time, it takes sheer luck to find a scene that tells a story. Luckily for us, Claude is a lucky guy, and he brought countless shots for us in his bags.

Some of you may know
the postcards Claude brought back from his first series of trips through Asia. Since that time, his experience and beard have grown quite a bit, and he's come back with an impressive photographic material.

Some of you may also have encountered the Yak underway, and seen the many tattered photographs he always carries with him when cycling around the world. In spite of the bulk and weight it represented in his bags, Claude has always insisted it was a much more human way of getting in touch with people than any electronic means.

Some of you also sent some photographs along with a letter after meeting the Yakman in what you thought was the end of the world. This is one of the most varied sections of Claude's first Web site: place, language, length of the beard, type of traveler, everything changes from one to the next.
Claude became a target for many lenses
as he approached Geneva
It took the Yakman and some artistic managers quite some time to sort through the many sights he's recorded on film. Thousands of them that gave birth to a series of masterpieces. You can see some of them in the press section.

Of course the Yakman has been a subject himself for locals, fellow riders, press and friends. And he became a target for many lenses as he approched the center of Geneva on his way back home.

As soon as the TV documentary about the Yak is available, we'll have some thumbnails available for those of you who haven't seen it. In the meantime, you can still roam this site listening to vocal and musical pictures Claude gathered along his path.
